On the other hand...

I think the word sheeple is a hideously naff expression. It makes the user sound like some Herbert writing from his parents' basement, with a copy of A Confederacy of Dunces lying on the desk. Reminds me of Louis Theroux's gentle reprimand when confronted with somebody who divided people up into wild exciting wolves and timid sheep: "...but the wolves eat the sheep, don't they?"
