I tend to agree, Blair was never the great leader he wanted (or believed) to be, but a facilitator. Facilitation the transition of Labour to electability, facilitating the reform of public services in the face of institutional resistance and hostility from his neighbour (who comes out of this badly in my eyes), facilitating the process in NI.
